Job Description: As a salesperson you will be responsible for working with customers. This includes greeting customers; answering their questions and also helping them purchase their produce. In addition, you will be responsible for restocking and inspecting produce quality prior to selling.
Qualifications: Looking for responsible, hardworking, well-rounded individuals with outgoing personalities. Individuals must be willing to work flexible hours and days, especially weekends. You must be at least 15 years of age and willing and able to perform physical labor outside in all weather conditions. Individuals must also be willing to learn and become familiar with produce, cash registers, scales as well as answer phones professionally and take clear and concise messages. The Give Something Back Foundation helps all students—regardless of their economic situation—receive access to a college education. Our program provides scholarships (tuition, room, and board) to one of our partner colleges and universities for four years, and our students complete their degree free of debt.
Recruited and enrolled in the GSBF program in the 9th grade, scholars will benefit from:
• A trained adult mentor who provides support throughout the student’s high
school years in order to prepare them for the college experience
• Yearly programming organized by the foundation, such as professional
social skills training, speaker events, career counseling, academic
workshops, college tours, and college application preparation.
• An opportunity to receive a quality college education and experience that they may never have had otherwise.
